Halo Pak Presiden,
Apa kabar? Saya bisa asumsikan bapak nggak akan jawab 'baik-baik saja nak', karena sebenarnya keadaan bapak memang sedang nggak baik.
Oh, boleh saya ralat, bukan cuma keadaan bapak, tapi keadaan negara kita sedang nggak baik.
Pengangguran, orang miskin, kriminalitas, semuanya ibarat jadi menu makanan kami sehari-hari. Sementara di 'orang gedean' sana, yang jadi menu makanan sehari-hari adalah korupsi, korupsi, korupsi...
Jujur pak, saya udah muak banget denger kata 'korupsi'. Saya merasa, semuanya cuma teori. Teori yang nggak bisa dibuktikan oleh fakta.
Saya memang bukan politikus, saya nggak kuliah di jurusan Ilmu Politik, saya nggak pernah mengikuti politik dan bahkan saya benci politik, tapi saya punya mata, punya telinga, maka itu saya bisa melihat dan mendengar apa saja yang ada di luar sana. Dan percayalah, apapun yang terjadi di luar sana, jauh lebih memprihatinkan daripada krisis politik yang kalian, orang-orang gedean, sedang alami.
Ini lebih dari sekedar politik. Ini tentang kemanusiaan. Tentang perdamaian. Tentang keadilan.
Bapak, lihatlah mereka. Coba tengok setiap butir air mata yang mereka keluarkan. Coba rasakan setiap usaha yang mereka lakukan untuk menyambung hidup mereka. Rasakan Pak, bahwa semua keputusan yang kalian orang-orang gedean putuskan di gedung 'wakil rakyat' itu, sebenarnya nggak semua bisa mereka rasakan. Mungkin nggak mereka rasakan sama sekali, karena hak-hak mereka udah keburu 'dicaplok' sama tikus-tikus di atas mereka.
Saya tahu, Bapak lagi pusing karena bapak dituding ikut andil dalam kasus Bank Century, atau apalah namanya saya nggak peduli. Tapi bisa kan Bapak lihat kami sebentar? Lihat anak-anak jalanan yang tidak bisa sekolah padahal mereka punya hak penuh untuk sekolah, lihat mahasiswa yang selalu berdemo di tempat kediaman Bapak atau di gedung wakil rakyat, lihat penjual sembako di pasar yang sering mengeluh karena kenaikan harga pangan secara tiba-tiba, lihat para petani yang tertunduk lemas karena gagal panen.
Lihat kami semua.

Reply, Not RT!

Recently I get somehow annoyed by people who used RT instead of replying, because they put so much spam in my private Twitter account. So, are you one of Twitter users who got easily annoyed by people who spam your timeline using RT? If you are, then welcome to the club.
And for those people who doesn't know the difference between RT and Reply, here's the difference:
You use RT to RE-TWEET informations, or quotes you want to share to your followers.
And you use REPLY, well, to reply other people's tweet.
Trust me, I'm not the only one who gets pissed off every time I see people spamming my timeline with unimportant chats with the RT feature. I mean, I don't want to look at what you're talking about, and neither do another people.
Then probably you'll ask, "If I don't RT what I tweeted, then people won't understand what I'm replying to!"
That's a simple question to answer.
If someone named James tweeted this: "Wow, @twiquotations is so awesome!" Then you better answer in this format: "@James What's twiquotations? (RE: Wow, twiquotations is so awesome!"
If you REPLIED like that to James, other people in your timeline who doesn't follow James won't receive your tweet. So PLEASE PLEASE don't reply James like this: "What's twiquotations? RT @James: Wow, twiquotations is so awesome!"
If you replied like that, then other people who follows or doesn't follow James will see your tweet in their timeline.
Much more depressing if you do them simultaneously, like you're chatting. Example: "Wow I have to follow it! RT @James: It's a quoting page on Twitter RT @Judy: What's twiquotations? RT @James: Wow, twiquotations is so awesome!"

I'm Getting Sicker By This Holiday.

Ahem.
Sorry for the very long hiatus. As a matter of fact, I still have my holiday and it will end next month. Feels very long for me. I love holidays, but if it gets too long, then it will get on my nerves.
I do nothing for my holiday. Just chilling out in my house, go to the mall to hang out with some of my friends, and the rest is nothing. No studying, no reading textbooks.
Oh, haven't I told you about my first GPA? It was pretty miserable, though. I got 3,08 as my first GPA. Actually I knew that I could do better than that, because I thought my first term subjects were easy subjects and I could nail an A+ easily. But sometimes the truth is not the same as our expectation. Well, I thanked God though, for letting me not to fail on any class. My lowest grade was B, and I could do nothing but be thankful for that.
How's your day been, people? Oh, and I want to say thanks to you all, because these day #TWQ keeps on being on Trending Topics! Such an honor to be in those top 10 topics most of the day.

Posting pertama dengan bahasa Indonesia!
Kemaren gue baru nonton film ini sama temen-temen SMA gue. Film ini bikin gue bengong dari awal sampe akhir. Bukan karena nggak ngerti, tapi karena gue bener-bener salut sama cara si Sherlock nyelesaiin semua kasus yang dia tangani. Bahkan ending dari film ini bener-bener nggak bisa ditebak, gue sendiri heran betapa pintarnya si penjahat bikin semua jebakannya kelihatan bener-bener rapi. Mantap deh.
Setting film ini sekitar tahun 1800-an, jadi kalian bakal nemuin banyak gaun-gaun yang nggak biasa dipake di acara non-formal disini, jadi baju sehari-hari. Gue sendiri nggak habis pikir gimana tahannya si Rachel McAdams pake korset yang (pastinya) luar biasa nyekek dia selama berjam-jam selama pengambilan gambar. Duh, mantep banget deh kostumnya.
Yang gue suka dari film ini adalah cara penyutradaraan si Guy Ritchie. Pengambilan gambarnya bener-bener dramatis, kadang-kadang slow motion, close up, terus gue suka cara Guy Ritchie yang ngejelasin proses kriminal di film itu, gimana terjadinya. Bikin gue tenggelam ke kasus itu sendiri.
Sepertinya film ini bakal dibuat sekuelnya, soalnya di akhir film, ada nama penjahat yang disebut-sebut Holmes. Well, semoga beneran dibikin sekuelnya ya!

My Favourite Things

First of all, let me say... HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!! Hopefully we'll be a better person in this new year and new decade. How's your new year been? Oh, and do you or have you made your new year's resolutions? Me myself, I don't like to write resolutions, because in the end I'll mostly ruin them :) So I decide to let my life flow with no resolutions at all.
So, here I am, and today I want to blog about my favorite things. Hopefully after you read this post, you'll feel you know me more!
1. HISTORY
This is my favorite, top-notch thing above all. I love history, yes in fact I know that can make me look like a geek, but I don't care. Though history-based professions often got underestimated by people, but I'm so sure I can change the world's perception about it. My favorite history timeline is the Renaissance era and World War II era.
2. ARCHAEOLOGY
Yes, another history-based topic that I really love... Most people don't know the difference between history and archaeology. While history is a science that learns about things that have impact on social society, archaeology learns about the non-living things that people used during the historical period. I like archaeology because I've started to read encyclopedias since I was in elementary school, and I put Indiana Jones as my role model...
3. SONGWRITING
Actually this is my new hobby, since I just started writing one song. But I find it's totally addicting. For me, writing a song is much simpler than writing a poem. It's refreshing too, since you also think about what the song will be like, the music arrangement, whether you're gonna play it by guitar or piano, those kinds of stuffs.
4. CRYPTOLOGY
Err, no related pictures in Google, so I can't find a representative image here. Well, for you who don't know cryptology, it's the science of ciphers. Hidden messages, secret codes, etc. I find it's very amusing and interesting, and easy to learn too. I've managed to write some ciphers, and you can learn basic and easy ciphers in Wikipedia.
5. MUSIC
This is one of the things I love! I practically have to listen to music everyday. I enjoy variety kinds of music, my all-time favorite is adult alternative. My favorite musicians also varies, from Muse, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, to Duran Duran. But it seems like I don't enjoy indie music, though people nowadays seem to like that genre a lot.
6. COFFEE
Welcome to my daily dose of caffeine. Yes, I know coffee's kinda bad if you consume it too much, but for a reason, I have to drink it. I found it hard to drink coffee once, but then I found a very interesting coffee: frappucino :) Still, I can't drink black coffee until now. My personal favorite is Starbucks' caramel java chip. How about you?
